Theresa is the Director of Operations for British Columbia and joined our group of Colleges in 2019 with over 25 years of private career college experience. Her commitment to raising the standards of post-secondary education has been her focus since she founded her first college on Vancouver Island in 1995. Her unique approach to hands-on learning and presenting programs in a professional, virtual environment earned her a nomination for Entrepreneur of the Year for Innovative Business Concepts.
In 2009 the Ministry of Advanced Education’s Private Career Training Institutions Agency (PCTIA) invited Theresa to lead the Agency’s Accreditation teams as Chairperson, where she spent almost 10 years chairing over 80 audits and reviews, with some of the Province’s largest and most complex institutions in her portfolio. Theresa also worked with PCTIA’s Accreditation Manager and Registrar to re-structure and re-design the accreditation process and reporting documentation. When the Ministry restructured its regulations, Theresa switched to consulting – working with private training institutions to achieve the standards required to attain or maintain status as a Designated Learning Institute In BC.
In her spare time Theresa works with the National Association of Career Colleges presenting at their Management Academy sessions and is an active member and past co-chair of the World Health Organization’s Patients for Patient Safety Program in Canada – speaking across the country and on the TEDx stage about patient safety and the impact of medical errors.

Justyna is Granville College’s Senior Education Administrator. She graduated from the Olds College Animal Health Technology program in 2011 and has worked extensively in companion animal clinics, wildlife rehabilitation centers, and at both the Calgary and Greater Vancouver Zoo. Justyna also has experience volunteering abroad with animal welfare organizations, providing primary veterinary care in sterilization, vaccination, parasite control, and emergency care to impoverished communities in South Africa. Believing that one of the most important means of improving the well-being of any animal is proper owner education, she pursued a career as an instructor at Granville College in early 2016. She and her teammates have developed and implemented an effective VTA training program to allow students to enter the veterinary industry with the necessary skills to provide the highest standard of care to both patient and client.
Being an avid outdoor enthusiast, Justyna spends her spare time mountaineering, rock climbing, scuba diving, and hiking continuous laps on the Grouse Grind every year to raise money for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Mandy is a proud alumnus of Granville College Class of 2001. Since graduating, she has spent most of her time working in clinics in the Greater Vancouver area or volunteering as a member of the Animal Care Committee at UBC. And if that does not fill her pet time quota - she loves to pet sit for clients and friends.Mandy is committed to animal welfare, educating clients, and supporting Veterinarians, with a particular interest in Geriatric animal care and support – her family cat “Libby” is a spry 22 year old white domestic short hair.
When Mandy’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, young daughter and “Libby“. They can often be found biking around town, hanging out at the beach, ortravelling to eastern Canada to visit family in her hometown in Nova Scotia.
Mandy has been instructing at Granville College since 2017 and thoroughly enjoys preparing students for a career in the Veterinary industry. She still manages to keep in touch with a number of her graduating students as they embark on their new careers and this year Mandy will be leading the College’s Community Outreach program to enhance our partnerships with the Veterinary community.
